Support
DishCache is built and supported by one person. Send the link or screen where you got stuck, what you expected, and what happened instead.
Email neil@neilofneils.com. Do not send your password or a sign-in code. Screenshots are useful, but remove anything you do not want included in a support email.
Include whether you were using the iPhone or iPad app or dishcache.com, the recipe or source link if it is safe to share, and the exact wording of any error.
Download DishCache on the App Store. Sign in with the same DishCache account you use on the web to access your recipes.
In app versions with photo capture, choose Recipe from photos from Add a recipe. Select up to six photos or screenshots, or scan a printed recipe on a supported device. Clear printed pages work best. Check the page order, then compare the suggested recipe with the saved images. Tap a page image to enlarge it and pinch to zoom.
Text recognition can misread fractions, quantities, temperatures and handwriting. Correct the recognized text or recipe fields before cooking. If sections are unclear, the text and images remain available for manual editing. Save without checking the review box to leave the recipe in Needs Review.
Photo drafts stay on your device until you save the recipe. Saved pages upload when connected; refresh the library to retry an interrupted upload. Wait for the pending-photo notice to disappear before signing out. Photo files are kept as JPEG page copies, so keep the original files separately if you need their full resolution.
On iPhone or iPad, open a recipe page in Safari, tap Share, and choose DishCache. You can also paste a public recipe link into DishCache on the web or in the app.
Some websites block automated requests or publish incomplete recipe data. DishCache saves what it can and marks a capture for review when ingredients or steps need cleanup. The source link stays with the recipe so you can check it.
If an image is missing, reopen the recipe while connected to the internet. Stored images use time-limited access links, so an old screen may need to refresh them.
Sync requires the same DishCache account on each device. If a recent change is missing, keep the app open briefly on a working connection, then reopen the recipe.
Recipes begin as private. An unlisted link works for anyone who receives it. A public recipe can be viewed by anyone and may appear in search results. You can turn sharing off from the recipe, but copies already saved by someone else remain theirs.
On the web, sign in and choose Export everything to download your recipes and available images. Keep that export somewhere you control.
You can start account deletion from the iOS app. Deletion removes your DishCache account, recipes, active sharing links, and managed recipe images. If you cannot sign in or reach the deletion control, email neil@neilofneils.com.
If a shared or public DishCache page infringes your rights, exposes private information, contains abusive material, or creates another safety problem, email a recipe report. Include the exact DishCache link, what should be removed or corrected, and how you are connected to the content. A report can lead to a public or unlisted page being disabled while the issue is reviewed.
Read the Privacy Policy and Terms of Use for the details on account data, sharing, imported content, and food safety.
